This year the Plymouth Octopus Project’s Community Heritage Network will be hosting a Local Studies day webinar and four weekly network sessions for you to get involved with.
– Local Studies Day Online Webinar 8th May 10.00am
– Heritage Network Weekly Sessions 7th May, 14th May, 21st May & 28th May each at
1.30pm

The Plymouth Community Heritage Network, supported by the Plymouth Octopus
Project, celebrates the history of Plymouth by bringing together community and heritage
organisations to exchange ideas and experiences. Around seventy groups interested in
heritage are currently part of this network and it builds upon the work of the Heritage
Consortium put together several years ago to help community historians input into The Box project. With The Box now open, the network continues to meet and support heritage groups of all types.
(See https://www.facebook.com/groups/2348303998795921/about for more
information.)
In recent years, the network has supported the running of the Local Studies which enables local groups and researchers to come and share their work. With this not being possible this year the group are facilitating an online webinar instead on 8 th May. In addition to this, the network would welcome any interested parties to attend their regular meetings taking place during the month on 7th May, 14th May, 21st May and 28th May at 1.30pm.
Each of these meetings will have a particular focus on wellbeing and community in line with the theme of the festival.
