Plymouth Hoe

Welcome to day 12 of this year’s History Festival. Yes, it’s been 12 whole days! Today we’re going to be exploring one of Plymouth’s favourite places – the Hoe.

We’re starting with a look at the former pier and Tinside Lido.

At 1pm we’ll be opening the virtual doors to a tour of the National Marine Biological Library, with lots of fascinating insights into its history, followed by a fun quiz to guess what some of their artefacts are!

Later in the day we’ll be looking at the Hoe itself, and the history work done by the Liner Lookout Cafe.

If you’d like to send us your photos or drawings of the Hoe, please pop them on your Twitter account and tag us in them. We’ll share as many as we can throughout the day!
